Saving Money On Christmas Cookies
Christmas baking season is in full swing. In fact, I had to go to six stores in our town before I found one that had Christmas cookie cutters! I think every grandma in town must have bought new cookie cutters this year. All the shopping for ingredients and etc got me to thinking, making Christmas cookies is expensive!
The good thing for us, is we are sharing the cost with a friend. When you make Christmas cookies there are some things you need to buy that you use very little of, such as certain spices, food colorings, decorations etc. So if you get together with a group of friends and everyone brings a small bit, you can make large batches of Christmas cookies, and save tons of money.
This is also a great holiday party idea, set aside a Saturday for a Christmas cookie baking day! The best part is that it is fun making and decorating Christmas cookies with people you love. Isn’t that what the holidays are all about?
